Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dawindi Buktot (ranked 24405 p4p, 24325 weight class) and Kulata Bitok (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 12 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dawindi Buktot! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kulata Bitok! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Buktot stuffs the takedown. Bitok closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Buktot quickly recovers to half guard. Buktot is looking to control Bitok's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Buktot avoid being mounted? Bitok slows the pace down in half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. It looks like Bitok might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Buktot is holding on to half guard well. Bitok is taking a breather. Buktot says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Buktot stuffs the takedown attempt from Bitok. Bitok gets slowly back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Bitok shoots and misses and Buktot makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Bitok really felt that one! Dawindi Buktot has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kulata Bitok. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Buktot crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Bitok - the referee stops the clock and Buktot gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Bitok. Buktot manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Bitok is trying hard to land a takedown here. Buktot sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Buktot slaps away a takedown attempt from Bitok, before circling back to the center of the mat. Buktot throws a quick counter kick to the body but Bitok avoids it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buktot drives through with a takedown into Bitok's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Buktot is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Buktot postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bitok is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Buktot is stalling in the full guard. Buktot's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Dawindi Buktot dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action! Nice sprawl there from Bitok as Buktot shoots in. Bitok doesn't succeed with the takedown and Buktot counters with a body kick. Bitok has his takedown stuffed and Buktot counters with a good, hard body kick but Bitok shrugs it off. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bitok looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Buktot tried to counter with a leg kick but Bitok avoided it. Dawindi Buktot has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kulata Bitok.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bitok shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Buktot looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Buktot. Bitok tries to counter with a clinch but Buktot shakes him off and moves away. Buktot keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Bitok goes for a double leg but Buktot avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Buktot continues to drive forward. Buktot is looking to counter with a body kick. Nice sprawl there from Buktot as Bitok shoots in. Bitok throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Buktot was covering up waiting for the punch and Bitok finishes the takedown easily into guard. Buktot pulls Bitok in close to prevent any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bitok looking to pass the guard. Bitok being controlled here momentarily. Further stalling from Buktot.

He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Bitok trying to control the position from guard on top but Buktot is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Dawindi Buktot will probably get the nod. That's time! Buktot's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Bitok drives through with a takedown into guard. Buktot keeping moving, preventing Bitok from controlling successfully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bitok content to stall in guard here. Buktot is pulling down on Bitok's head. It's preventing any offense from Bitok, at least for the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bitok is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Buktot thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Buktot tries to land a sweep but no joy. Buktot is trying to control the position but Bitok postures up.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Bitok shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Buktot counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Bitok fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Dawindi Buktot has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kulata Bitok. Bitok closes this distance looking for a takedown but Buktot circles away. It appears Buktot was looking to counter with a kick there. Kulata Bitok has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Dawindi Buktot is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Buktot looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Kulata Bitok. I think Buktot has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
