Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Matteo Chibaclov (ranked 2503 p4p, 2892 weight class) and Lou Rossetti (ranked 339 p4p, 380 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Matteo Chibaclov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lou Rossetti! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Seu Braga and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rossetti shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Chibaclov napping and manages to drive through into side control! Chibaclov is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Chibaclov blocking the ground and pound attempt from Rossetti. Rossetti prevents Chibaclov from improving his position. Chibaclov makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Chibaclov. Rossetti wants to control from the top but Chibaclov keeps moving. Rossetti looking to sit in guard and control but Chibaclov gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
We've been hearing that Chibaclov has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chibaclov forces his way into half guard. Rossetti really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chibaclov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Chibaclov performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chibaclov's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Chibaclov has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Chibaclov content just to control the position here. Chibaclov has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Chibaclov looking for a guillotine from mount but Rossetti is having none of it. Rossetti tries to hold on but Chibaclov pushes him away. Chibaclov raining down hammerfists from mount. Chibaclov content just to control the position here. Rossetti is looking to get to half guard. Chibaclov controlling the position easily from mount. Chibaclov is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Rossetti has managed to escape the submission attempt.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Chibaclov lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rossetti is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Rossetti is still trying to improve position. Chibaclov looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rossetti tries to reverse the position but Chibaclov maintains control. Chibaclov looking to finish Rossetti with some ground and pound. This is bad for Rossetti! Chibaclov wants to control the pace but Rossetti is squirming around nicely. Chibaclov controlling from the full mount. Rossetti is looking to get to half guard. Rossetti has given up his back. Will we see Chibaclov going for some submissions?
Chibaclov keeps control of the position as Rossetti tries to break free.

Matteo Chibaclov dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Rossetti shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Chibaclov is trying to defend but Rossetti finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Chibaclov keeping hold of Rossetti's head, controlling as best he can. Rossetti is working for a kimura but Chibaclov is defending it quite comfortably.
Chibaclov is controlling Rossetti's trapped leg to prevent Rossetti from advancing to side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chibaclov moves into full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chibaclov controlling the position. Chibaclov looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rossetti is one step ahead there. Chibaclov is controlling Rossetti's posture. Chibaclov is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rossetti can do to turn this around? The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rossetti landing some decent shots from guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Rossetti wants to pass the guard but Chibaclov is keeping the position. Chibaclov is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Chibaclov passes to side control. Chibaclov working the ground and pound. Chibaclov has an Americana. Rossetti didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Chibaclov is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Chibaclov hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
