Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eftihios Nicolau (ranked 4014 p4p, 3927 weight class) and Paulo Minozzo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Eftihios Nicolau! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paulo Minozzo! The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nicolau sizes up Minozzo with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Nicolau paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Nicolau throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Minozzo on the side of the head. Nicolau tests Minozzo's chin there with a solid looking shot.
It looks like Paulo Minozzo has been cut. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Minozzo is defended easily by Nicolau. Minozzo on the wrong end of a nice hook. Minozzo needs to keep his hands up - Nicolau had a free shot at his head there. Minozzo shoots in looking for a takedown but Nicolau manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Minozzo's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. A little feinted left hand from Nicolau on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Minozzo moves out of range as Nicolau strikes. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Minozzo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Nicolau swivels and escapes. Eftihios Nicolau has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paulo Minozzo. Nicolau lands with a good body shot. Nicolau cracks Minozzo with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Minozzo tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Nicolau pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Minozzo is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eftihios Nicolau!
