Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Conor Lee (ranked 671 p4p, 449 weight class) and Romega Vartanein (ranked 102 p4p, 67 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Lee moves out of range as Vartanein strikes.

A nice inside leg kick there by Lee. That's going to slow Vartanein down.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lee throws a looping overhand right but Vartanein ducks down to avoid it.

Lee lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Vartanein at a distance.
Lee swings for the body but Vartanein moves out of range.
Vartanein takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Nice uppercut lands for Lee. That snapped Vartanein's head back.

Lee swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Vartanein.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lee is trying to pull guard but Vartanein turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Lee tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Vartanein smiles and moves away.

Lee bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Vartanein connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Vartanein throws out a loose jab but Lee uses good head movement to avoid it.
Vartanein misses the shot to the body.
Vartanein drops his hands momentarily and Lee takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Vartanein misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Lee connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Vartanein throws a jab but it's blocked by Lee.
Lee moves out of range as Vartanein strikes.
Vartanein throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Lee closes the distance and pushes Vartanein back into the cage.

Lee tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Conor Lee. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Lee is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Vartanein got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lee has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Vartanein has managed to get both his arms back between Lee's legs - danger averted.
Lee looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Vartanein is defending well. Lee quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Vartanein has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Lee celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
