The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Alexandre Firmino and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bradstone connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Alves looks to land a right hand but Bradstone moved out of range.
Alves lunges at Bradstone with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Bradstone's hand.
Alves fails to land with a series of punches.

Bradstone keeps the fight on the outside.

Alves is looking to clinch but Bradstone is avoiding it.

and Alves counters with a takedown into side control.

Alves looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Bradstone is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Alves looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Alves wants to free his trapped foot but Bradstone is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Alves thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Bradstone tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Alves is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Bradstone doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Alves.
Alves sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Bradstone defending well though.
Alves is trying to work for a kimura but Bradstone is defending well.
Bradstone is defending against the submission attempts here by Alves.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and Alves counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Alves is breathing heavily.
Bradstone wants to improve his position but Alves is controlling well.

Alves moves into full mount! Bradstone won't be happy about that!
Alves swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Bradstone is now in Alves's guard. A big mistake from Alves there, giving up the dominant position!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bradstone keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Alves's head.
Alves is looking to sweep but instead, Bradstone has passed into half guard.
Alves is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bradstone's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bradstone's back!

Bradstone breaks Alves's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Alves isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Bradstone stacks Alves on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Bradstone!
Bradstone is looking to take a break and control but Alves is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Bradstone slows the pace down.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Alves stuffs the takedown attempt from Bradstone. Bradstone gets slowly back to his feet.
Bradstone throws a lazy right hand but Alves sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Bradstone swats away the attempt to clinch by Alves.
Alves is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Bradstone throws a nice looking combination but Alves bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Alves wants to clinch up but Bradstone keeps it at a distance.

Alves misses with a body shot
and Bradstone counters with a three punch combo that has Alves backing up. Alves nods at Bradstone to acknowledge the strikes.
Alves throws a shot from downtown. Bradstone moves away and avoids it.

Bradstone moves into range and connects with a jab.
Bradstone misses with a double jab
and Alves scores with a counter punch that sends Bradstone to the canvas! Alves smells blood - he's punishing Bradstone with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Bradstone has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
