Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stavros Halkias (ranked 3188 p4p, 2262 weight class) and Jack Daniels (ranked 410 p4p, 308 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stavros Halkias! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Daniels! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Daniels rushes Halkias and presses him up against the cage. Halkias tries to throw a body punch but Daniels avoids it by throwing Halkias back against the cage. Daniels is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Daniels misses with a hook from the clinch. Daniels wants to stall.

Halkias lands with a short shot to the head. Halkias lands a hook to the side of the head. Halkias definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Daniels scores with an uppercut up the middle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Halkias lands a hook that snaps the head of Daniels backwards. Daniels wants to break the clinch but can't.
Halkias lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Daniels misses with some punches.
Halkias lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Halkias blocks a punch to the side of the head.

That's one minute gone in the round. A short left from Daniels. Daniels misses with a short punch on the inside. Halkias misses with a hook from the clinch. Halkias blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Daniels's coach down at Blacksmith MMA Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Daniels's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Daniels tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Halkias misses with some punches.
Halkias stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Daniels tries to throw a body punch but Halkias avoids it by throwing Daniels back against the cage. Daniels misses with a hook to the ribs.
A short right from Halkias on the inside. Daniels dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. A short uppercut from Halkias. Daniels is trying to break the clinch but Halkias is controlling him. Daniels has a couple of punches blocked by Halkias.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Daniels. A right hook to the body lands for Halkias.
Daniels looks winded! Halkias lands a nice uppercut. Daniels lands an uppercut. Halkias is struggling to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Halkias content to slow the pace in the clinch.
The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Halkias for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Daniels. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Halkias breaks from the clinch.
Halkias lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Halkias slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Halkias with a body punch. A glancing blow. Daniels tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Daniels walks into a straight right hand from Halkias. Halkias scores with a body shot.
Halkias fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Daniels looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Daniels has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Daniels there as he acknowledges the shot. Daniels on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Daniels is rocked! Halkias fakes the body blow, causing Daniels to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Daniels goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Stavros Halkias! A determined Stavros Halkias didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
