Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frank Svensson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Pena (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Svensson comes to the cage accompanied by Emeth - Telesis. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Svensson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Juan Pena! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pena has a takedown stuffed. Pena looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Pena tries to move into range but Svensson moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
It looks like Juan Pena has been cut. Svensson looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Svensson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Pena, up you get! Svensson shoots in and bounces Pena off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Svensson gets to his feet - Pena follows without any prompting. Svensson scores a takedown into full mount! Svensson working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Svensson working for a submission but Pena is keeping him at bay. Svensson won't let Pena get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Pena regains full guard. Nicely done. Svensson stands and steps away. Pena gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Svensson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Pena manages to regain full guard. Nice work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Svensson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Pena manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Svensson has Pena in his guard. Svensson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Pena is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Svensson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Pena's back instead. Svensson working for a choke but Pena is defending well. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Pena preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Svensson. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Svensson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Pena looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Pena looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Pena! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Pena wants to lay and pray for a moment but Svensson keeps working.
That's one minute gone in the round. Svensson wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Pena wants to stand but Svensson is controlling his arm. Pena is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Svensson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Svensson sneaks back into half guard. Pena wants to control but Svensson is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Pena walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. A big right from Svensson misses. Svensson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Pena but Pena pushes him off and we're back to square one. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Svensson. Pena looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Svensson cracks Pena with a right hand to the side of the head. Svensson looks to land a right hand but Pena moved out of range. Pena tries to clinch up. Pena closes the distance and clinches up with Svensson, looking for a takedown. Pena pushes Svensson against the cage but Svensson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Pena bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Pena with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Svensson to score with a decent uppercut. Svensson tries for a takedown but Pena circles away easily and Pena counters with a shoot takedown. Svensson fights it but they end up in guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Svensson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Svensson looking for subs off his back but Pena has passed one foot through into half guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Svensson has one foot on Pena's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Pena takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Svensson throws a jab but it's blocked by Pena. Svensson bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Pena's head. Svensson misses with a hook. Pena ducked under it nicely. Pena fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Pena takes one to the side of the head.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. A big left from Svensson misses. Pena looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Pena shoots in looking for a takedown. Svensson tries to sprawl out of it but Pena keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Svensson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Pena keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Svensson. Svensson shoots in but Pena avoids the takedown attempt easily. Pena throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Pena tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Svensson scores with a nice head shot. Pena doesn't manage to clinch there - Svensson circles away.

Pena uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Svensson. Juan Pena has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Pena keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
And that's the end of the fight! Frank Svensson showed his dominance in that final round. Well Svensson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
