Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sideways Pete (ranked 4034 p4p, 4229 weight class) and Miguel Garces (ranked 0 p4p, 462 weight class). Garces has chosen Light into the Darkness as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sideways Pete!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Miguel Garces!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garces gets tackled into the cage by Pete. Pete maintains the clinch.
Garces avoids the elbow strike from Pete, against the cage.
Garces content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Garces jumps guard but Pete stands there with Garces around his waist. Garces gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Pete pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Garces has Pete pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Pete manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
A frustrated look appears on Garces's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Garces tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Pete smiles and moves away.
Sideways Pete has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Miguel Garces.
Pete clinches up against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Garces is trying to push Pete away but Pete has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Pete gets underhooks to prevent Garces's takedown attempt.
Garces takes an elbow to the forehead.
Garces gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Pete regains guard.

Garces wants to control from the top but Pete keeps moving.
Garces might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Pete haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Pete escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Garces gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Garces looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Pete seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Garces wants to control from the top but Pete keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Garces is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Pete keeping moving, preventing Garces from controlling successfully.
Pete working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Garces doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Garces manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Garces is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Garces slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Garces wants to control but Pete is keeping him busy.

Garces is looking to take a break and control but Pete is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Garces looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Garces swings around for an armbar but Pete sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Garces's guard.
Pete stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Garces swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Pete content to stall in guard here.
Pete passes Garces's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Garces preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Pete is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Sideways Pete dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Pete pushes Garces up against the cage in a clinch.
Pete throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Pete blocking some punches.
Garces is looking for a takedown.
Garces looking to throw knees to the head but Pete is blocking nicely.
Garces fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Pete pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Garces jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Pete walks away with a smile on his face. Garces gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Garces shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Pete's guard.
