The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Comanelli is working to avoid the ground and pound but Dillinger connects with a decent elbow.

Dillinger has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Comanelli takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Dillinger is working Comanelli over with some ground and pound from side control.
Dillinger lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Comanelli felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Comanelli tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dillinger wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Dillinger works to advance to full mount. Comanelli defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Dillinger loads up with a big shot that hurts Comanelli! He's pulled Dillinger in close but Dillinger has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Comanelli survive? More strikes from Dillinger and Comanelli is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
