And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Iron Side!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Anthony Taglia and Russell Pearce.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alyoshin swings for the body but Side moves out of range.
Side throws out a counter right but Alyoshin avoids it with no problem.
A swing and a miss from Side.

Alyoshin pushes Side up against the cage in a clinch.
Alyoshin keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Side's efforts to push away.
A left hand lands to the body for Alyoshin.
Side tries to break free but Alyoshin pushes him back against the cage.
A head punch on the inside from Alyoshin fails to land.
Alyoshin misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Side.
Side working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Side makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Alyoshin is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Alyoshin goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Alyoshin misses with a punch on the inside.

It looks like Iron Side has been cut.

Side lands a right hand that snaps the head of Alyoshin backwards.
Alyoshin throws a punch but it's blocked by Side.
A right hook to the body lands for Alyoshin.
Alyoshin throws a knee to the head but misses.

Side blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Side escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Side keeps the fight on the outside.
As Alyoshin backs off Side throws a huge counter combo but Alyoshin manages to avoid it all.
Alyoshin takes a swing at Side's ribcage but misses.
Nice defenses there by Alyoshin.
Side throws a lazy uppercut
and Alyoshin counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Alyoshin displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Side throws out the jab.
Alyoshin tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Side was well out of range. Poor timing from Alyoshin.

Side just misses with a punch to the body.
Alyoshin swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Alyoshin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Alyoshin throws a hook to the side of Side's head but Side sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Side throws a series of strikes that have Alyoshin backpedaling.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Side works Alyoshin's body with a nice hook.
A punch lands to the side of Alyoshin 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Alyoshin lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Grant Alyoshin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alyoshin getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Grant Alyoshin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Nice shot lands for Side.
Alyoshin misses with a low kick as Side jumps back.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Side! But no joy.

Side has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Alyoshin seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Side can turn it around.
Side jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Alyoshin walks away with a smile on his face. Side gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Side misses with a looping left.
A head kick from Alyoshin lands but Side takes it in his stride.

Side is rocked!
Side just misses with a punch to the body.
Alyoshin throws a big counter combination but Side scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Side is still on wobbly legs! Can Alyoshin finish him?
Alyoshin thuds a left hand into Side's body.
Alyoshin is looking to wear down Side with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Side looks winded!
Side tries to get into range but Alyoshin steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Side! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Alyoshin scores the big KO victory!
