Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tyler James Christianson!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Christianson misses with a takedown attempt

and Anstey counters with a nice double leg into side control. Christianson won't be happy with that.
Christianson wants to get back to his feet but Anstey is dominant here and he's now got Christianson's back!
A bit of a pause in the action here. Anstey controlling the positon.
Anstey punishes Christianson with strikes from the back mount.
Christianson covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Anstey biding his time, looking for the opening.
Christianson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Anstey's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Anstey trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Christianson doesn't escape.
Anstey seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Christianson for as long as he can get away with.
Anstey continues to stall.

Christianson trying to control the position but Anstey manages to sink in the hooks.
Anstey is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Christianson grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Anstey.
Christianson tries to roll but Anstey sticks to his back.
Anstey biding his time, looking for the opening.
Anstey is working the ground and pound. Can Christianson escape?
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Anstey cracks Christianson with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Christianson from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

and Anstey counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Christianson wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Anstey manages to pass to side control.

Christianson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Anstey. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Anstey wants to pass the guard but Christianson is defending well.
Anstey takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Anstey perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Bunny Anstey overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Anstey wants to free his trapped foot but Christianson is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Anstey is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Christianson can do to turn this around?
Anstey looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Christianson is trying to stand up here but Anstey is controlling him well.

Anstey is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Christianson!
Christianson is still in real trouble! Can Anstey finish him?
Christianson takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Anstey's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
