Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mikael Akerfeldt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ithalo Bodin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Akerfeldt's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Amon Amarth - Guardians Of Asgaard. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bodin moves in looking to clinch but Akerfeldt pushes him off.
Bodin fails in his attempt to clinch.
Akerfeldt takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Akerfeldt thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Bodin is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Bodin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Akerfeldt gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Bodin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Akerfeldt doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Akerfeldt manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Akerfeldt drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Akerfeldt jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Bodin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Akerfeldt gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Bodin had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Akerfeldt is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Bodin Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Akerfeldt's back instead.

Akerfeldt manages to reverse the position and now he's in Bodin's guard. Nice work there by Akerfeldt.
Akerfeldt will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Akerfeldt has gone for a leg lock! Bodin slips out almost immediately though and dives into Akerfeldt's guard.
Bodin throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Akerfeldt works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bodin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Bodin with a flurry of punches that miss.
Bodin postures up and lands a big shot to Akerfeldt's brow.

Akerfeldt has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bodin can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Bodin lands with a right hand.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bodin tries to clinch there but Akerfeldt circles away.
Bodin connects with the punch.
Bodin is looking to clinch.

Bodin lands with an uppercut that bounces Akerfeldt off the cage and back into rage.
Bodin fails with an attempt to clinch.

Akerfeldt really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Bodin doesn't manage to clinch there - Akerfeldt circles away.

Akerfeldt decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Bodin manages to get to full guard.
Bodin tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Akerfeldt thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Akerfeldt is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Bodin has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Akerfeldt should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Bodin has tightened it up now! Akerfeldt should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
