PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Simon Cross (ranked 3417 p4p, 23180 weight class) and Rudi Roberts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Cross might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Irregular God. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cross decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Cross works his way into full mount!

Cross has control of Roberts's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Roberts regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Cross working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Roberts keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Cross working for a submission but Roberts is keeping him at bay.
Cross controlling the position easily from mount.

Cross is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Roberts is surviving well by controlling Cross's body position as best he can.
Roberts has given up his back. Will we see Cross going for some submissions?
Roberts really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cross. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Roberts looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

Cross has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Roberts is defending well but eventually Cross manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Roberts has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!

After the fight, Simon Cross was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
