Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Xxx Xxx (ranked 23273 p4p, 23383 weight class) and Xxx Xxx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Xxx Xxx has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 48 - 19 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 12 - 55 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Fighter B scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Fighter A struggling a bit here. Fighter B working the body and head with strikes. Fighter A wants to control but Fighter B postures up. Fighter B misses with the ground and pound. Fighter A dodges the ground and pound from Fighter B. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fighter A keeps Fighter B under control for a moment. Fighter B lands some shots froms side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fighter B sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Fighter A is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Fighter B in side control, throwing shots but Fighter A defends. Fighter B working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Fighter A is trying to control Fighter B's posture but Fighter B avoids it. Fighter B working the strikes but Fighter A uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Fighter A regains full guard. Nicely done. Fighter A has control of Fighter B's left arm, preventing Fighter B from doing any damage.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Fighter B shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fighter A as he jumps to the side. Fighter A appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Fighter B throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fighter A looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Fighter B is fending him off so far but Fighter A persists. Nope, Fighter B circles away and we're back to standing. Fighter B tries for a takedown but Fighter A circles away easily and Fighter A counters with a solid body kick. Fighter A tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Fighter B defends well and Fighter A ends up having to push Fighter B into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Fighter B replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Fighter A blocks it well. Fighter A has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Fighter B regains guard immediately. Fighter A controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fighter A trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Fighter A controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Fighter A seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Fighter B for as long as he can get away with. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Xxx Xxx dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Fighter A stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Fighter A wants it to stay on the feet. Fighter A is looking to counter with a body kick. Fighter A closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Fighter B's guard. Fighter B is controlling Fighter A's posture. Fighter B is looking to sweep but instead, Fighter A has passed into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fighter A looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
That's one minute gone in the round. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Fighter B is positioning himself well to prevent Fighter A advancing to mount.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Fighter B misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Fighter A throws a quick counter kick to the body but Fighter B avoids it. Fighter B looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Fighter A quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. Xxx Xxx has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xxx Xxx.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Horrible takedown attempt by Fighter B or perhaps it was just good defense by Fighter A, which made it look bad. Fighter B stuffs the takedown attempt from Fighter A. Fighter A gets slowly back to his feet. And Fighter B responds with a good body kick, but Fighter A manages to step out the way in time. Fighter B closes this distance looking for a takedown but Fighter A circles away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Fighter B shoots in and drives through. Fighter A sprawls well. Fighter A fires out a quick counter leg kick but Fighter B just manages to avoid it. Fighter A gets a double leg takedown into Fighter B's guard. Fighter A is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Fighter B managing to control the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Fighter A's corner is telling him to maintain position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Fighter B changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fighter A tries to avoid it but Fighter B manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fighter A to the ground. Fighter A escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Fighter B shoots in for a takedown but Fighter A shows good takedown defense. Fighter A changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Fighter B shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Fighter A is trying to defend but Fighter B finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Fighter A is holding on to half guard well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fighter A continues to stall. Fighter A makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Fighter A. Fighter B throwing strikes but missing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Fighter A controlling the position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Fighter B closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Fighter B lands in his opponent's guard. Fighter A is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fighter A working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Fighter B. Fighter B is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fighter A looking to hit a scissor sweep but Fighter B is one step ahead there. Fighter A is pulling down on Fighter B's head. It's preventing any offense from Fighter B, at least for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Fighter B keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Fighter A's head. Fighter B being controlled here momentarily.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Fighter B tries for a takedown but Fighter A sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Fighter A jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Xxx Xxx has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xxx Xxx. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Fighter A scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Fighter B is trying to maintain the position but Fighter A is very close to passing his half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Xxx Xxx. I think Fighter B has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
