The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kawasaki keeps the fight on the outside.

Kawasaki drops back looking for a leg! Somebody is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Somebody manages to kick Kawasaki off! Kawasaki jumps back into Somebody's guard.

Somebody is looking for a triangle here but Kawasaki uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Kawasaki tries to score with some ground and pound. Somebody controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Somebody takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Kawasaki looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kawasaki lands with some strikes.
Somebody is wriggling around trying to escape.
Somebody really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kawasaki. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Somebody is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Somebody tries to improve his position but Kawasaki has taken his back! Kawasaki has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Somebody tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Kawasaki Pushes Somebody away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
