Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Larry Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jet Gunner!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Saam Ante and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Gunner.
Williams is looking to counter punch.
Gunner fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Williams tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Williams definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Williams scores with a decent looking hook.
Jet Gunner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Williams checks a leg kick.
Gunner takes a swing at Williams's ribcage but misses.
It looked like Williams wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Williams ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Williams feints a jab promting Gunner to slip. Williams then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Gunner slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Gunner is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Williams's half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Williams tries to get to full guard but Gunner has control of the leg.
Gunner trying to mount his opponent but Williams defends it.

Gunner is looking to take a break and control but Williams is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Williams is trying to get back to full guard.

Gunner is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Williams defends it well.
Gunner is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Gunner wants to pass the guard but Williams is keeping the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Gunner slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Gunner wants to stand but Williams is controlling his posture from full guard.
Gunner wants to pass the guard but Williams is keeping the position.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Gunner working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Williams has his hands on Gunner's head, controlling the position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Gunner walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

It looks like Jet Gunner has been cut.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gunner lands a nice shot to the body.
Gunner blocks a head kick by Williams.
Gunner throws an off balance right hand
and Williams cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Gunner closes the distance and pushes Williams back into the cage.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Gunner.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Williams.
Gunner doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Williams.
A head punch on the inside from Williams fails to land.

Williams's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Williams misses with a hook.
Gunner bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Gunner shoots and misses
and Williams counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Williams keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Gunner.
Williams looks to land a left hand but Gunner moved out of range nicely.
Williams connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Gunner shoots in for a takedown but Williams shows good takedown defense.
Larry Williams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jet Gunner.
Gunner pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A quick step to the side and Williams tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Gunner ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Gunner throws a sloppy head kick and Williams moves out of range easily.
Gunner avoids the head kick by Williams.
Williams lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Williams lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in Gunner - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for Williams!

An out of breath Larry Williams thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
