This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 13 wins and 10 losses; Wang Dong! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 7 wins and 4 losses; Leonardinho Chai!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Ian Loll and Trevor Gratis.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Chai fails in his attempt to clinch.
Dong tries to counter with a takedown but Chai is quick to defend against it.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Dong.

Chai manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chai keeping hold of Dong's head, controlling as best he can.
Still in half guard, Dong seems content to control.
Dong tries to pass to full mount but Chai defends it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Dong holds on and takes a little breather.

Chai stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dong swivels though and keeps the full guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dong is on top in guard.

Dong tries to roll over but Chai keeps him under control.
Chai looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Dong wants to control but Chai is keeping busy.
Chai wants to free his trapped foot but Dong is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Chai is thwarting Dong's attempts to control the position.
Dong is refusing to be controlled, as Chai sits in half guard.
Chai prevents Dong from improving his position.
Chai keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

That's thirteen minutes gone in the round.
It looks like Chai might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Chai is keen to just control but Dong is a slippery customer.

Chai frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Dong bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Dong looking to improve position, pressing down on Chai's thigh with his hand. Chai seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Dong paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Dong's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Chai picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
