Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ray Suns (ranked 4020 p4p, 4028 weight class) and Carl Protacio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Gregory Folan and Elvis Blanc.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suns changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Protacio avoids a kick to the body.
Protacio comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Carl Protacio seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Suns is trying hard to land a takedown here. Protacio sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

and Suns connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Suns dives in for a single leg takedown but Protacio sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Suns has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Protacio uses from the top position.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Protacio holds on and takes a little breather.
Protacio controls Suns momentarily but Suns frees himself.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Protacio finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
It looked like Suns was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Protacio takes a swing at Suns's ribcage but misses.

Protacio has taken the fight to the clinch.
Protacio tries to break the clinch but Suns is controlling the position.

Suns is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Protacio gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Suns tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Protacio smiles and moves away.

That was a close round but I would say that Ray Suns will probably get the nod.

Protacio uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Protacio defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Suns.
Protacio throws out a leg kick but Suns moves out of range and Protacio only half commits.
Protacio darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Suns scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Protacio swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Suns appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Suns clinches with his opponent.

Suns pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Protacio stuffs the takedown attempt from Suns. Suns gets slowly back to his feet.
Protacio will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
