Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carson Parsons (ranked 3958 p4p, 2840 weight class) and Anthony O Sullivan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Anthony O Sullivan!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Franklyn Lucas and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parsons throws a sloppy head kick

and O Sullivan counters by moving into the clinch.
Parsons letting O Sullivan take a breather here.
Parsons drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Parsons manages to break the clinch.
Parsons shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. O Sullivan defends it nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Parsons shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with O Sullivan but O Sullivan pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carson Parsons. That's going to take a lot out of him.

O Sullivan gets tackled into the cage by Parsons. Parsons maintains the clinch.
Parsons jumps guard but O Sullivan turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Parsons tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Parsons breaks from the clinch.
Parsons blocks a head kick by O Sullivan.

O Sullivan darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Parsons scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but O Sullivan manages to mount him!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
O Sullivan content just to control the position here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Let's hope that O Sullivan has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
It looks like O Sullivan might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

O Sullivan looking to finish Parsons with some ground and pound. This is bad for Parsons!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Parsons wants to hold on but O Sullivan pushes him away.
Parsons is breathing heavily.

O Sullivan lands a big shot there that rocks Parsons but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Parsons knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for O Sullivan on the ground.
O Sullivan breaks from Parsons's wrist control and lands an elbow.
O Sullivan controlling from the full mount.
O Sullivan's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
O Sullivan lands a heavy elbow.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
O Sullivan tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
O Sullivan landing strikes from the mount and Parsons is in trouble!
O Sullivan takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
O Sullivan is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Parsons can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A nice elbow there by O Sullivan.

O Sullivan stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


O Sullivan gets a takedown into half guard.
Anthony O Sullivan has got the better of the ground game so far.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with O Sullivan in particular looking to stall.
O Sullivan seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
O Sullivan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

O Sullivan is figuring out what he wants to do next.

O Sullivan seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Parsons is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
