Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ray Hoola (ranked 5013 p4p, 3219 weight class) and Perov Yelisey (ranked 350 p4p, 295 weight class). Hoola comes to the ring accompanied by Alvin & The Chipmunks - Christmas song. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ray Hoola!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Perov Yelisey!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Russell Pearce and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoola tries to land a front kick but Yelisey steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Hoola tries to clinch up but Yelisey circles away and keeps his distance.
A nice side step and Yelisey releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Hoola lands with a cross.
Yelisey takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Hoola fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Despite the aggression on Yelisey's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Hoola fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Yelisey on the side of the head.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Yelisey has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Yelisey takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Hoola creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Well Hoola has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
