Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between hank the tank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Craig Patton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Patton's choice of entrance music: Leroy. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, hank the tank! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Craig Patton! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Patton tries to clinch but the tank moves out of range. No luck for Patton with that takedown attempt. the tank swings away with a leg kick that misses. the tank dodges the punch combination from Patton.
Patton checks the leg kick nicely there.
the tank misses with a double jab
and Patton counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in the tank's guard now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. the tank wants to improve his position but instead Patton has moved into half guard.
the tank wants to get back to full guard but Patton has mounted him! the tank is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
the tank throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Patton has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of the tank's face.
the tank slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Patton not landing any meaningful shots this time. the tank gets back to full guard.
the tank is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Patton trying to control but the tank is working from the bottom. the tank is looking for a triangle but Patton pushes his legs off easily.
the tank is striking from the bottom but Patton uses the opportunity to pass into half guard. the tank throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
the tank is looking to escape. the tank gets full guard. Patton stops the tank from standing up. the tank is breathing heavily. There's a bit of a scramble here and now the tank is on top in guard.
Patton has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes the tank off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Patton throws a head kick that the tank semi-blocks.

and Patton counters with a nice leg kick. Patton fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Patton moves into range and clinches up with the tank. the tank presses Patton against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. A shot in the inside from the tank. Patton has had enough of the clinch but the tank keeps him there for the moment. Patton breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Patton swats away the attempt to clinch by the tank. the tank throws a combination. Patton tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Patton throws a nice looking combination but the tank bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. the tank dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Patton. That did some damage! the tank sizes up Patton with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. the tank ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Patton moves away. the tank with a jab. the tank keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Nice uppercut lands for the tank. That snapped Patton's head back.
the tank thows a body shot but no joy. hank the tank seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. the tank throws a leg kick that misses. the tank doesn't manage to clinch there - Patton circles away.
the tank shoots in looking for a takedown. Patton tries to sprawl out of it but the tank keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Patton manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Patton connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. the tank misses with a combination
and Patton moves into the clinch. Patton stops a takedown attempt from the tank.
Patton takes a shot to the head. the tank gets underhooks to prevent Patton's takedown attempt.
hank the tank has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Craig Patton. the tank escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
the tank dips down and scores with a jab to the body. the tank throws a jab when Patton was well out of range. the tank throws a sloppy head kick and Patton counters with a nice body kick. the tank avoids the head kick by Patton.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Patton checks a leg kick. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. the tank shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. the tank showed some decent athleticism there. the tank slips a nice elbow through Patton's hands, connecting with Patton's forehead. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that hank the tank will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
the tank throws out a loose jab but Patton uses good head movement to avoid it. the tank rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Patton moves out of range and avoids them all easily. the tank gets off balance looking for a body kick and Patton counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Patton wants to control from the top but the tank keeps moving. the tank looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Patton gets to his feet - the tank follows without any prompting. the tank gets a clinch. the tank lands a body shot in the clinch.
Patton jumps into guard, dragging the tank to the mat.
Patton not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. the tank slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. the tank stands up and beckons Patton to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. the tank connects with a right hand. Patton shakes it off. the tank throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Patton takes one to the chin there. Patton fails with a takedown attempt from distance. the tank takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. the tank throws a body kick the misses and Patton counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in the tank's guard now. the tank wants to stand but Patton is controlling the position. Patton throwing strikes but missing. the tank scrambles and gets back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Patton. the tank throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
the tank changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Patton checks a leg kick. Patton fails with the takedown and the tank counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. hank the tank has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Craig Patton. the tank misses with a looping right. the tank tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. No luck for Patton with that takedown attempt. the tank scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Patton wants to sweep here but the tank controlling him for the moment. the tank working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Patton's head. the tank working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. the tank won't allow Patton to sweep him here. the tank lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. A punch lands to the side of Patton 's head but he takes it in his stride.
That's four minutes gone in the round. the tank throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Patton. the tank shoots in for a takedown but Patton shows good takedown defense. Patton on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Patton shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. the tank throws a front kick aimed at Patton's knee but Patton avoids it well. the tank misses the shot to the body. Patton closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. the tank lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Patton. Patton goes for a takedown attempt but the tank pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
the tank throws a wild combination but nothing lands. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Patton tries to close the distance and clinch up but the tank swats him away and circles back towards the center. the tank's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and the tank duly obliges. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Craig Patton will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
the tank looks to throw a body kick and Patton counters with a low kick, right behind the tank 's knee. Patton decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. the tank gets back to full guard.
the tank wants to stand and escape but Patton is having none of it. Patton decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. the tank darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. the tank sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Patton defending well though. the tank thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Patton's head. the tank escapes and gets back to his feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily. the tank misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Patton.
That's one minute gone in the round. the tank stuffs the takedown attempt from Patton. Patton gets slowly back to his feet. the tank moves into range and clinches up with Patton. Patton tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. the tank just stands there and leans against the cage. the tank pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. A left and a right from the tank both land. Nice combination. the tank connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Patton's hands. the tank misses with a double jab
and Patton holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. the tank keeps control of Patton as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. the tank breaks the clinch.
the tank sizes up Patton with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. the tank lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. the tank will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's two minutes gone in the round. the tank throws a combination that misses and Patton counters with a low kick, right behind the tank 's knee. Patton looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. hank the tank has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Craig Patton. the tank gets a takedown into half guard. Patton is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of the tank's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take the tank's back! Craig Patton has got the better of the ground game so far. the tank tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! the tank is desperately trying to improve his position but Patton has a good base and remains in mount. Patton lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
the tank wants to try and get back to his feet. Patton looking to finish the tank with some ground and pound. This is bad for the tank! the tank sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. the tank is trying to stand back up but Patton is controlling him
That's three minutes gone in the round. Patton tries to stand but his arm is trapped. the tank gets back to full guard.
Patton stands and throws the tank's legs to the side, diving into side control. the tank is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Patton wants to control but the tank is keeping him busy. the tank sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. the tank makes his way to full guard. A much better position for the tank. the tank throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Patton wants to control from the top but the tank keeps moving. the tank pushes Patton off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. the tank throws a left and a right that both miss
and Patton decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in the tank's guard. Patton wants to control from the top but the tank keeps moving. Patton is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. the tank manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Patton manages to get himself to full guard.
the tank passes easily into side control. Nice work. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Patton is trying to get back to half guard. the tank working away.
