Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ron Larson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and steve blackman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). blackman has chosen Three 6 Mafia - It's A Fight (Best of Rocky 6) as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ron Larson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, steve blackman! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! blackman lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Larson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Larson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and blackman counters with a takedown into side control. blackman is trying to get an arm triangle but Larson is defending well. blackman wants to lay and pray for a moment but Larson keeps working. blackman tries for a kimura but Larson is defending well. blackman working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. blackman misses with the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Larson manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. blackman tries to roll over but Larson keeps him under control. blackman looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. blackman looks gassed! blackman looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. blackman punching from the bottom.
Larson passes to side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Larson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but blackman is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. blackman regains half guard. Larson seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. blackman tries to get to full guard but Larson has control of the leg. Larson trying to control the action but blackman is working from the bottom. blackman actively working from the bottom here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Larson wants to lay and pray for a moment but blackman keeps working. blackman trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Larson manages to pass to mount!
blackman tries to hold on but Larson postures up. Larson wants to finish this one by submission but blackman is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Larson. Larson trying to control but blackman is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. blackman keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
blackman regains half guard. blackman looking for submissions from an awkward position here. blackman strikes from the bottom but Larson uses the opportunity to move to side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
steve blackman dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
A slow jab from Larson misses its intended target. Ron Larson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. blackman tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Larson swivels and escapes. blackman feints and as Larson raises his hands in defense, blackman changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. blackman keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Larson's head. blackman looking to pass the guard. blackman throws and elbow that misses. Larson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in blackman's guard. Nice move by Larson! Larson wants to get up but he can't break blackman's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Larson trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. blackman thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. blackman pushes a forearm under Larson's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Larson is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
