Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mike Evangelist (ranked 3941 p4p, 3906 weight class) and Gavril Lukov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mike Evangelist!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gavril Lukov!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Ren Mimura and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evangelist feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Lukov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Evangelist can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lukov being controlled here, momentarily.
Evangelist postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Evangelist gets to his feet - Lukov follows without any prompting.
Evangelist fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Evangelist closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Lukov is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Evangelist stands up.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Evangelist closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Evangelist lands in his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Evangelist lands a couple of elbows.
Evangelist throws a big elbow that misses.

Lukov has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Evangelist should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Lukov has tightened it up now! Evangelist should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
