Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mama Tosen (ranked 31 p4p, 74 weight class) and Rasmus Reedtz (ranked 6 p4p, 16 weight class). Mama Tosen is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 22 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mama Tosen! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 26 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rasmus Reedtz! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Chris Dean and Francis DeMontford.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tosen leaves Reedtz with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Tosen was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Reedtz closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Tosen did well to prevent Reedtz getting side control. Reedtz throwing shots but Tosen is blocking nicely. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Reedtz working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Tosen looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Tosen keeping control of the position. The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Reedtz throws a jab when Tosen was well out of range. Tosen misses with a leg kick. Tosen throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Reedtz decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Tosen moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Reedtz shoots in and bounces Tosen off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Reedtz has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Reedtz is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Rasmus Reedtz has got the better of the ground game so far. Tosen is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Reedtz stays in close to Tosen's body and controls the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tosen has his foot on Reedtz's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Reedtz works his way back into a safe position though.

Tosen throws a leg kick but Reedtz sees it coming and moves out of range. Tosen takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

It looks like Rasmus Reedtz has been cut. Reedtz takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Tosen avoids a punch combination nicely.
Tosen ducks under a wild hook from Reedtz. A telegraphed right hand from Tosen misses the target. Tosen misses with a body shot.
Reedtz moves out of range as Tosen strikes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Reedtz shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Tosen napping and manages to drive through into side control! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Reedtz is looking to take a break and control but Tosen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Reedtz is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Tosen is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Reedtz. Reedtz misses with a body shot.
Tosen is looking to counter punch. Tosen catches Reedtz with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Tosen with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Mama Tosen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Tosen slips a straight right by Reedtz. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Tosen. Reedtz shrugs it off though. Tosen avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Reedtz shoots in and bounces Tosen off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Reedtz avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tosen looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Reedtz has picked Tosen up and slammed him! Tosen can't keep hold of the triangle and Reedtz manages to pass to side control! Reedtz is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Tosen is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Reedtz is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Tosen dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Reedtz. That did some damage! Tosen gets caught napping as Reedtz dives in and scores a takedown. Tosen manages to retain guard. Reedtz trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Tosen had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Reedtz defends it easily. Reedtz trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
