Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dante Alexandre!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liondoom closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Alexandre did well to prevent Liondoom getting side control.
Liondoom prevents Alexandre from standing back up.
Liondoom tries to pass to full mount but Alexandre defends it.
Liondoom is trying to work for a kimura but Alexandre is defending well.

Alexandre really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Liondoom. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Liondoom thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Alexandre's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Liondoom perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Liondoom is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Alexandre doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Liondoom.
Liondoom is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Liondoom could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Liondoom frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Liondoom has hold of Alexandre's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Alexandre manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Alexandre tries to buck Liondoom off so he can stand up but Liondoom has got his back now - this could be big trouble! He's slapped on a rear naked choke that looks really tight! Alexandre falls backwards, slamming Liondoom to the mat but Liondoom holds on tight! Alexandre is forced to tap and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Roman Liondoom!
Roman Liondoom spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
