The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice combination there by McPherson.
Chibaclov tries for a takedown but McPherson circles away easily
and McPherson counters with a stiff right hand.
McPherson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Chibaclov.
A punch combination from McPherson misses.
Chibaclov darts in looking for a takedown but McPherson gets double underhooks and turns Chibaclov into the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matteo Chibaclov. That's going to take a lot out of him.

McPherson manages to break the clinch.
Chibaclov looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

McPherson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Chibaclov enables McPherson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Chibaclov manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Chibaclov wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Chibaclov lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

McPherson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chibaclov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

McPherson is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Chibaclov has taken his back.

Chibaclov has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for McPherson! Can he survive? No! He's out! Chibaclov gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
