Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Edmond Chabazian (ranked 1804 p4p, 2717 weight class) and William Maxey (ranked 243 p4p, 346 weight class). William Maxey will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maxey lands with a kick to the temple. Chabazian shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Chabazian closes the distance and clinches up with Maxey, looking for a takedown. Chabazian pushes Maxey against the cage but Maxey circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Maxey throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Maxey lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Maxey scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Chabazian doesn't seem bothered though.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Maxey - that will leave a mark!

Chabazian is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Maxey looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Chabazian got a little sloppy there for a moment and Maxey has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Chabazian has managed to get both his arms back between Maxey's legs - danger averted.

Chabazian is pulling down on Maxey's head. It's preventing any offense from Maxey, at least for the moment.

Maxey is trying to control the action in half guard but Chabazian is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Chabazian quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Maxey has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast!
