Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Faulk (ranked 1468 p4p, 1533 weight class) and Bum Phillips (ranked 182 p4p, 191 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 18 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kevin Faulk! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bum Phillips! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Faulk tries to clinch but Phillips is having none of it. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Phillips is defended easily by Faulk. Faulk throws a head kick that misses. Faulk tries to clinch up but Phillips circles away and keeps his distance. Faulk thuds his shin into the meat of Phillips's side. Phillips looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Kevin Faulk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Faulk slaps away a takedown attempt from Phillips, before circling back to the center of the mat. Faulk tries to clinch there but Phillips circles away.
Faulk instigates a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Phillips manages to pull guard.
Phillips looking for a sweep. Not yet Phillips, not yet. Phillips is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Faulk defends well. Phillips not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Phillips is trying to hold Faulk in close to prevent damage but Faulk has managed to pass into half guard.
Phillips looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Phillips looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Faulk postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Phillips to stand up. We've been told by Faulk's head coaches at Sparks gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A punch combination from Faulk misses. Phillips shoots for a double leg takedown but Faulk sprawls well. He's pushed Phillips's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Kevin Faulk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bum Phillips. Phillips will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Faulk bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Faulk connects with a leg kick. Faulk tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Faulk pushes Phillips away with a front kick. Phillips gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Faulk connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Faulk feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Phillips sprawling to the canvas! Phillips rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Faulk finish him?!
It looks like Bum Phillips has been cut. Faulk tries to clinch but Phillips moves out of range. Faulk stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Faulk wants it to stay on the feet. Faulk moves into the clinch. A right handed body shot lands from Faulk.
A nice left hand lands by Faulk.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Faulk is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Phillips jumps guard but Faulk stands there with Phillips around his waist. Phillips gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Phillips letting Faulk take a breather here. Phillips has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Faulk avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Faulk stalling against the cage.
Phillips has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Faulk is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Kevin Faulk dominated that round. The cut man is working on Bum Phillips's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Faulk jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Faulk stuffs the takedown. Faulk scores with a jab to the jaw. Faulk jabs Phillips to the body, keeping him at a distance. Phillips get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Phillips stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Faulk runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kevin Faulk! Kevin Faulk decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
