Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Corey Bigs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lex Lewis!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Seu Braga and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lewis motions for Bigs to come forward. Lewis throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Lewis is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Bigs gets a clinch.
Lewis is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Bigs misses with a short punch on the inside.
Lewis is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Bigs is working for takedown but Lewis is calmly controlling the position for now.
Bigs throws a head punch that misses.
Lewis drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Bigs gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Lewis has Bigs pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bigs manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Corey Bigs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lex Lewis.
Lewis gets underhooks to prevent Bigs's takedown attempt.
Lewis blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Bigs swings wildly with an uppercut but Lewis uses good head movement to avoid it.
Bigs gets underhooks to prevent Lewis's takedown attempt.
Lewis blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Bigs has Lewis pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Lewis manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Bigs tightens his grip and picks Lewis up, before dumping him to the ground. Lewis manages to land in guard.
Bigs thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Lewis is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Lewis has his foot on Bigs's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bigs works his way back into a safe position though.
Bigs has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Bigs drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bigs jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Bigs thows a big elbow that misses.

Bigs throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Bigs avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Bigs throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lewis works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Lewis looking for a guillotine here but Bigs defends easily.
Bigs has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Lewis to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Bigs is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Lewis pulls down on the head and he's put Bigs to sleep! This one is all over!
