Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Xxx Xxx (ranked 23233 p4p, 23344 weight class) and Xxx Xxx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Xxx Xxx has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Xxx Xxx seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 48 - 19 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 12 - 55 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Fighter A shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Fighter B pinned against the cage. Fighter B gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Fighter B is trying to counter with his kicks. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Fighter B fails with the takedown. And Fighter A counters with a quick kick to the body but Fighter B blocks it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fighter A stuffs the takedown attempt from Fighter B. Fighter B gets slowly back to his feet. Fighter A is looking for a counter combo.
That's one minute gone in the round. Horrible takedown attempt by Fighter A or perhaps it was just good defense by Fighter B, which made it look bad. Fighter B with the counter takedown but Fighter A avoids it easily. Fighter B shoots for a double leg takedown but Fighter A sprawls well. He's pushed Fighter B's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Xxx Xxx has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xxx Xxx. Fighter B drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Fighter A is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fighter A continues to stall. Fighter B drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Fighter A dives on top into guard. Fighter B is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fighter B wants to sweep but no luck. Fighter A slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Fighter A has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Fighter B shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Fighter A defends it nicely. Fighter A quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Xxx Xxx will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Fighter B shoots in and drives through. Fighter A sprawls well. Fighter A closes this distance looking for a takedown but Fighter B circles away. Fighter B counters with a body kick. Fighter A looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Fighter A not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fighter B controls Fighter A momentarily but Fighter A frees himself.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fighter B might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Fighter A haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Fighter B trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Fighter B can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Fighter A controls the pace. Fighter B controlling the position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Fighter A closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Fighter A controls the position. Fighter B is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Fighter B is letting Fighter A control him for a moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fighter A scores with a couple of short elbows. Fighter B parries the strikes from Fighter A easily there. Fighter A is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Fighter B to escape.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fighter A creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Xxx Xxx overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Fighter A controlling the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. You can see the frustration on Fighter B's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Fighter A is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Fighter B can do to turn this around? Fighter B shoots in for a takedown but Fighter A shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. And Fighter A counters with a quick kick to the body but Fighter B blocks it. Fighter B tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Fighter A swivels and escapes. Xxx Xxx has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xxx Xxx. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Fighter B fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Fighter A thinks about countering with a body kick. Fighter B throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fighter A's waist but Fighter A gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fighter B off to one side. Fighter A jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Xxx Xxx dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Fighter A darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Fighter A slows the pace down in half guard. Fighter A's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Fighter B has his hands clasped together around Fighter A's back. He's all about the action. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Fighter A takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Fighter B dives in and grabs Fighter A's left leg, looking for a takedown. Fighter A pushes down on Fighter B's head and hops out. Fighter A is looking to counter with a body kick. Fighter B fails to land the takedown. Fighter A jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fighter A tries for a takedown but Fighter B sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Fighter B is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Fighter A fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Fighter B throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Fighter B shoots and misses and Fighter A counters with a nice kick to the body. Xxx Xxx has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xxx Xxx.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fighter A scores with a takedown into Fighter B's guard. Fighter A controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Fighter A seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Fighter B for as long as he can get away with.
And that's the end of the fight! Xxx Xxx showed his dominance in that final round. Well Fighter A has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
