Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anthony Prilla!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kyle Nelson!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Percy O'Donnell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nelson throws a poor cross that misses
and Prilla counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Prilla pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Nice uppercut lands for Nelson. That snapped Prilla's head back.
Nelson avoids the body shot from Prilla.
Nelson lands a jab-cross combination.
Anthony Prilla seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nelson drops his hands momentarily and Prilla takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Prilla explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Prilla has a takedown stuffed.
Nelson throws a body kick that misses
and Prilla counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Prilla throws a nice head kick!
This has been an exciting period of action!
A big left from Prilla misses.
Prilla tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Nelson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Prilla.
Nelson shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Prilla throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Nelson.
Nelson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Prilla closes the distance but Nelson moves to the side
and Nelson counters with a nice uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Nelson looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Prilla sizes up Nelson with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Prilla throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Nelson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Prilla lands with a kick to the ribs.
Prilla shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Nelson's guard.
Prilla wants to control from the top but Nelson keeps moving.
Prilla knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nelson on the ground.
Prilla is in close to Nelson's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Prilla being controlled here momentarily.
Prilla avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Prilla has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Prilla postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Nelson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Nelson is looking to cinch up a triangle. Prilla throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Nelson's body to avoid the submission. Nelson has instead reached around Prilla's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Nelson arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
