The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Colin Fray and Ryoma Takatsuka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knight tries to close the distance and clinch but Potapenko swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A quick step to the side and Potapenko tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Knight tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Potapenko paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Potapenko wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Potapenko fails with an attempt to clinch.
And Knight tries to counter it with a takedown but Potapenko pushes his down on his head and steps out.
A big right from Potapenko misses.
Potapenko throws an off balance right hand

and Knight counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Knight stays in close to Potapenko's body and controls the position.
Knight stands and throws Potapenko's legs to the side, diving into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Knight is putting a hurting on Potapenko here, landing some big shots from side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Knight is chipping away with strikes.
The referee asks Knight politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Knight prefers to stall for the moment though.

Knight has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Potapenko is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Knight yanks on the arm and Potapenko is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Knight.
