Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Percy Hemmer (ranked 4083 p4p, 4298 weight class) and Nurmuhammed Serik (ranked 450 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hemmer tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Serik swivels and escapes.
Serik with the counter takedown but Hemmer avoids it easily.

Hemmer appears to be looking for a big counter.
Serik goes for a double leg but Hemmer avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Hemmer continues to drive forward.

Serik is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Hemmer throws a front kick aimed at Serik's knee but Serik avoids it well.

Hemmer jumps guard but Serik stands there with Hemmer around his waist. Hemmer gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Serik moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Hemmer moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
No luck for Hemmer with that takedown attempt.
Hemmer takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Nurmuhammed Serik showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Serik has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Hemmer is on him like a limpet, forcing Serik back against the cage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Serik shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Hemmer eats them both and turns towards Serik to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Serik seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Well Serik has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
