The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Burroughs drives through with a takedown into guard.

Smith is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Burroughs is aware though and is defending well.
Burroughs has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Smith controls Burroughs momentarily but Burroughs frees himself.

Burroughs is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Smith is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Burroughs is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Smith doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Burroughs.

Burroughs lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Smith quite badly. Smith pulls Burroughs in close trying to recover. Burroughs postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Smith on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Smith doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Jordan Burroughs decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
In defeat, Jake Smith stepped up to the mic, saying 'Get ready for the gulag, homeboy.'.
