Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Byron Neal (ranked 4610 p4p, 4032 weight class) and Bobby Barnell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Byron Neal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bobby Barnell!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Barnell shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Neal taking some punishment here, with Barnell in his half guard.

Barnell is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Barnell decides to return to a standing position.
Neal definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Barnell dives in and scores a takedown into Neal's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Barnell is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Neal on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Neal tries to get out of the position.
Barnell scoring with punches to the head and body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Neal is looking to stand up but Barnell isn't so interested in that idea.
Barnell advances to half guard.
Still in half guard, Barnell seems content to control.
Let's hope that Barnell has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Barnell is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Barnell gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Barnell shoots for a double leg takedown but Neal sprawls well. He's pushed Barnell's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Neal tries to clinch but Barnell moves out of range.
Barnell throws out a counter right but Neal avoids it with no problem.
Neal is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Neal blocks a jab.
No joy there for Neal, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Neal wants to clinch up but Barnell keeps it at a distance.

Barnell moves into the clinch successfully.
Neal scores a nice knee to the body.
Neal landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Barnell looks winded!
Knees in the clinch landing for Neal.

Neal breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Neal lands a high kick!

Neal moves into the clinch.
Neal connects with a nasty looking knee right to Barnell's face.

Barnell is rocked!

It looks like Bobby Barnell has been cut.
Neal tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Barnell is still on wobbly legs! Can Neal finish him?

Neal breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Barnell wants to stay close but Neal steps back to make room for something. Barnell seems frozen to the spot and bam! huge swing of the leg from Neal and Barnell drops like he has been shot! A huge head kick and it's all over!
