And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 15 - 0, fighting out of New York, Zima Voin!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Voin throws a shot from downtown. Gomes moves away and avoids it.
Gomes swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Voin.
It looks like Zima Voin has been cut.
Gomes thows a left - swing and a miss!
Gomes throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Voin sees it coming and avoids it easily.
A punch combination from Gomes misses.
Voin uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Gomes.
Voin moves into the clinch.
Voin gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Gomes looking for subs off his back but Voin has passed one foot through into half guard.
Voin content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Gomes is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Voin takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Voin is rocked!
Gomes circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Voin tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Gomes wins by KO!
