Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 35 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Thom Tharrier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cassus Fett!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fett throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Tharrier was covering up waiting for the punch and Fett finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Fett's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Fett is keen to just control but Tharrier is a slippery customer.

Fett is nestled in close to Tharrier, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Tharrier on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Tharrier tries to get out of the position.
Fett is looking to take a break and control but Tharrier is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fett looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Tharrier with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Fett lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Fett slips a nice elbow through Tharrier's hands, connecting with Tharrier's forehead.
Fett seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Fett wants to pass the guard but Tharrier is defending well.

Tharrier has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Fett is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Tharrier sees it coming and defends easily.
Fett in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Tharrier tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Fett!

Cassus Fett spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
