Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tapater Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Popper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rua comes to the cage accompanied by Hordes Of Chaos. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tapater Rua!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John Popper!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Felipe Paraventi and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Popper shoots in and bounces Rua off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Rua lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Popper!

Popper drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Popper swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Rua is now in Popper's guard. A big mistake from Popper there, giving up the dominant position!

Rua had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Popper is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Rua Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Popper's back instead.
Rua doesn't have the hooks in and Popper manages to turn into his guard.

John Popper has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

I would just about give that final round to John Popper.
