Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Amara Kan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jules Ann!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kan forces Ann back against the cage and clinches.
Kan just leaning against Ann, taking a breather.
Ann wants to get back to striking at distance but Kan won't allow it.
Ann breaks from the clinch.
Ann darts in and clinches Kan up against the cage.
Ann can't break the clinch.
Ann is trying to break free.

Ann's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Amara Kan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kan tries to clinch but Ann is having none of it.
Ann let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Kan shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Ann is trying to defend but Kan finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ann can do anything to dispel that myth.

Ann is refusing to be controlled, as Kan sits in half guard.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Ann fails in his attempt to clinch.
It looked like Kan was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Ann.
Kan shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ann manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Kan is standing up over Ann. Ann looks to escape but Kan dives into side control.

Kan wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ann, who protects the arm well.
Ann wants to control but Kan postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kan tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Kan swings around for an armbar but Ann sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Kan's guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Kan fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kan lands a jab-cross combination.
Kan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Ann lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Ann wants to get up but he can't break Kan's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Kan seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Ann is looking to stall here but Kan recovers full guard.
Ann got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ann has managed to get both his arms back between Kan's legs - danger averted.

Kan throws a leg kick
and Ann counters with a series of strikes. Kan will be more careful next time no doubt.
Kan wants to clinch up but Ann keeps it at a distance.
Jules Ann is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ann lands a jab to Kan's midsection.
Ann throws a head kick but Kan moves out of range.
Kan is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Ann's half guard.
Ann pushes Kan off but Kan dives into side control.
Kan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Ann is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Kan off and has taken his back!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kan breaks Ann's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Kan will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Kan seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Ann for as long as he can get away with.
We've been informed that Ann has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Oooooh!!! Kan has knocked Ann down with a huge combo! Kan steps away and waves a wobbly Ann back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kan stands up and beckons Ann to his feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Kan fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Ann to the ground. Kan is now in Ann's guard.
Ann controls Kan momentarily but Kan frees himself.
Ann is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Kan flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Kan gets back to full guard.
Kan wants to sweep here but Ann controlling him for the moment.
Amara Kan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Kan is working hard here to advance position.

Kan pulls Ann in to control the position.
Kan wants to stand but Ann is controlling the position.
Ann must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Kan working for a triangle but Ann defends it easily.
Ann really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kan manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ann manages to get himself to full guard.
