Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chipped Shoulder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Doug Crocket (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chipped Shoulder!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Doug Crocket!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shoulder tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Shoulder throws a head kick but Crocket moves out of range.
Shoulder throws a head kick but Crocket moves out of range.
Shoulder throws a sloppy head kick and Crocket moves out of range easily.
Nice takedown defense from Shoulder. No joy for Crocket on that attempt.
Shoulder pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Crocket avoids the head kick by Shoulder.
Crocket fails with a takedown attempt.
Crocket will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Chipped Shoulder has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Doug Crocket.
Shoulder throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Shoulder misses with a head kick.
Shoulder stuffs the takedown attempt from Crocket. Crocket gets slowly back to his feet.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Horrible takedown by Crocket or perhaps it was just good defense by Shoulder which made him look bad.
Crocket shoots in but Shoulder avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Shoulder displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Crocket.

Crocket shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Shoulder sprawls well. Shoulder wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Crocket gets slowly back to his feet.

Crocket closes the distance and clinches up with Shoulder, looking for a takedown. Crocket pushes Shoulder against the cage but Shoulder circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Doug Crocket seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Shoulder misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Crocket blocks a head kick by Shoulder.
Crocket shoots in looking for a takedown. Shoulder tries to sprawl out of it but Crocket keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Shoulder manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Shoulder keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Shoulder misses with a head kick.
Crocket changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Shoulder tries to avoid it but Crocket manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Shoulder to the ground. Shoulder escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Crocket shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Shoulder as he jumps to the side.

Shoulder tries a head kick but it misses.
Shoulder throws a sloppy head kick and Crocket moves out of range easily.
Crocket takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Shoulder throws a head kick but Crocket moves out of range.

Shoulder decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Shoulder is nestled in close to Crocket, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Shoulder takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Shoulder prevents Crocket from improving his position.
Shoulder winds up and cracks Crocket with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Shoulder prevents Crocket from standing back up.
Shoulder is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Shoulder takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Shoulder is thwarting Crocket's attempts to control the position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Shoulder lands a big shot there that rocks Crocket but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Crocket takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Crocket is looking to improve his position but Shoulder isn't that keen on the idea.
Shoulder scoring with strikes but Crocket is staying in there.

Shoulder connects with a couple of good shots from mount.


Crocket is rocked!

Shoulder is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Shoulder extends the arm and Crocket is forced to tap!
