Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Akira Watanabe (ranked 3064 p4p, 5089 weight class) and Ryan Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watanabe darts in and clinches Smith up against the cage.

Smith gets tackled into the cage by Watanabe . Watanabe maintains the clinch.
Smith is still on wobbly legs! Can Watanabe finish him?
Watanabe jerks Smith's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Smith drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Watanabe goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Watanabe because Smith was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knee). Akira Watanabe !
