PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tornado Killer (ranked 4095 p4p, 4114 weight class) and Mitsos Gamitsos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Wagner Zegers and Radbod Blank.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gamitsos gets a double leg takedown into Killer's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gamitsos stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Killer swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Killer darts in looking for a takedown but Gamitsos gets double underhooks and turns Killer into the cage.

Gamitsos must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Gamitsos is pushing down on Killer's leg trying to pass to half guard. Killer is fighting to maintain full guard but Gamitsos has managed to sneak the leg through.

Gamitsos is working for a submission of some sort.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Killer manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Killer tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gamitsos sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Killer somewhat.
Gamitsos throws a head kick that misses
and Killer makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Killer really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Gamitsos throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Killer was covering up waiting for the punch and Gamitsos finishes the takedown easily into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Killer had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gamitsos defends it easily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Killer is looking for a triangle but Gamitsos pushes his legs off easily.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Killer wants to clinch up but Gamitsos keeps it at a distance.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Killer enables Gamitsos to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Killer manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Killer wants to stand up but Gamitsos is controlling him.
Killer wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Gamitsos is now in half guard.

Gamitsos is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Killer sees it coming and defends easily.

Gamitsos looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Killer is looking for a sweep. Gamitsos is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Killer is staying active underneath Gamitsos, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Killer wants to improve his position but Gamitsos is controlling well.
Gamitsos is looking to advance position but Killer won't allow it.
Gamitsos is looking to take a break and control but Killer is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Killer throws a sloppy head kick and Gamitsos moves out of range easily.

Killer looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Gamitsos changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Killer tries to avoid it but Gamitsos manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Killer to the ground. Killer escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Killer jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Gamitsos walks away with a smile on his face. Killer gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Killer is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Gamitsos is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

I would just about give that final round to Mitsos Gamitsos.
