Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Higanti Libat (ranked 23825 p4p, 24167 weight class) and Wala Sapi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wala Sapi told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 14 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Higanti Libat! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 10 - 19 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wala Sapi! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Sapi has a takedown stuffed. Libat looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. Libat fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sapi sprawls well initially but Libat persists and gets the takedown into half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Libat trying to pass the guard but Sapi defending well. Sapi keeping control of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sapi is looking to improve his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Libat controlling the action here.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Sapi doesn't succeed with the takedown and Libat counters with a nice body kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Libat shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sapi as he jumps to the side. Sapi defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Libat. A little jabbing left from Sapi on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Libat keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Libat seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Higanti Libat has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wala Sapi.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Sapi shoots in but Libat avoids the takedown attempt easily. And Libat counters with a quick kick to the body but Sapi blocks it. Libat decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Sapi is looking to control Libat's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Sapi avoid being mounted? We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Sapi is trying to get back to full guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Higanti Libat dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Sapi moves out of range of the body kick. Sapi thinks about the counter body kick. Libat darts in looking for a takedown but Sapi gets double underhooks and turns Libat into the cage. A countering left hand to the body from Sapi misses. Libat wants a takedown but no success here.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Libat wants to stand but Sapi is controlling the position. Sapi postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Libat pulls Sapi in close to prevent any damage. Sapi slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Libat trying to control the position here. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Sapi shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Sapi showed some decent athleticism there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Libat wants to control but Sapi is keeping busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Libat tries to roll over but Sapi keeps him under control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sapi with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Libat controlling the position for now. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Wala Sapi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Libat is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Sapi content to stall in guard here.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Libat closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sapi circles away. Sapi is trying hard to land a takedown here. Libat sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Libat is looking to counter with a body kick. Libat is trying hard to land a takedown here. Sapi sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Sapi shoots for a double leg takedown but Libat sprawls well. He's pushed Sapi's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sapi displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Libat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Higanti Libat. That's going to take a lot out of him. Libat fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Sapi replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Libat blocks it well. Sapi feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Sapi is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sapi is continuing to stall. Sapi trying to control but Libat is working from the bottom. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Libat has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
And that's the end of the fight! Wala Sapi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Sapi has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
