Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Apollo Rocky (ranked 679 p4p, 715 weight class) and Donny Knightley (ranked 93 p4p, 97 weight class). Knightley comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Some Bodies Gonna Get It ft. Three-Six Mafia kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Donny Knightley!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Saam Ante and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rocky tries to clinch but Knightley moves away
and Knightley counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Rocky fails in his attempt to clinch.
Knightley tries to bum rush Rocky with a series of wild strikes but Rocky uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Rocky tries to clinch but Knightley moves out of range.
Knightley avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Knightley throws a head kick that misses.
Rocky tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Knightley paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Knightley slips a jab and a cross from Rocky.
Rocky will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Knightley throws a head kick but Rocky moves out of range.

Knightley swats away the attempt to clinch by Rocky.
Rocky tries to close the distance and clinch up but Knightley swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Rocky throws a body punch but Knightley moves out of range.
Rocky shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Knightley was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Apollo Rocky. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rocky tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Knightley paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Rocky looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Rocky on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Rocky lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Knightley circles away quickly and effectively.
Rocky swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Rocky rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Knightley counters with a slapping leg kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rocky gets a clinch.
Rocky looking to throw knees to the head but Knightley is blocking nicely.
Knightley escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rocky tries to clinch but Knightley is having none of it.
Knightley circles away from the clinch attempt.

Rocky misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Rocky misses with a body shot.
Rocky connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Donny Knightley is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Rocky tries to clinch but Knightley is having none of it.
Knightley throws a leg kick
and Rocky connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Knightley takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Rocky tries to clinch but Knightley is having none of it.
Knightley lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Knightley lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Rocky throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Knightley counters with a crisp right hand that drops Rocky! Knightley lets Rocky back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Rocky is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Knightley needs to keep his hands up - Rocky had a free shot at his head there.
Apollo Rocky seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rocky shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Knightley counters with a crisp right hand that drops Rocky! Knightley lets Rocky back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Oh Rocky is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Knightley sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Rocky's defenses. It connects perfectly with Rocky's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Donny Knightley!
An out of breath Donny Knightley thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
