Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Karim Johnson (ranked 305 p4p, 298 weight class) and Wanderlei Rua (ranked 21 p4p, 19 weight class). Johnson comes to the cage accompanied by Don't say nuthin'. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 37 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Karim Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Wanderlei Rua!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Richard Clark and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rua misses with a hook
and Johnson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Wanderlei Rua has been cut.
Rua has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Rua throws a big shot that misses.
Rua cracks Johnson with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Some bone on bone action there as Johnson checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Rua thows a leg kick but Johnson checks it
and Johnson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Johnson avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Rua missing with a left hand there. Johnson was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rua is looking to clinch but Johnson is avoiding it.
Rua throws a nice inside leg kick.
Johnson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rua was well out of range. Poor timing from Johnson.

Johnson throws a leg kick that is checked
and Rua counters with an outside leg kick.
A looping hook to the body misses from Johnson. Rua does a little dance to reset his feet.
Rua throws a right hand that misses
and Johnson counters with a stiff right hand.
That has opened up Wanderlei Rua's cut even more.
Rua misses with a looping right.
Johnson throws a leg kick which misses Rua's front leg but catches the back leg as Rua tries to avoid it.
Rua avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Johnson has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Dr Hatsumi's Clinic in the buildup to the fight.
Johnson misses with a kick to the body
and Rua counters with a nice low kick that buckles Johnson's knee momentarily.
Rua throws a jab when Johnson was well out of range.
Johnson is looking to counter punch.
Nice body kick from Johnson.

Rua throws a big shot that misses.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Johnson. Rua shrugs it off though.
Rua looks winded!
Rua misses with a body shot.
A little feinted left hand from Johnson on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Johnson - that will leave a mark!
Johnson misses with a looping left.
Rua swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rua tries a head kick but it misses.
Johnson appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Johnson keeps Rua at a distance using the push kick.
Johnson looks to land a left hand but Rua moved out of range nicely.
Rua darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

It looked like Johnson wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Johnson swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Rua counters with a stiff right hand.
Rua just misses with a punch to the body.
Johnson swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Johnson lands a big head kick that sends Rua tumbling to the mat! Johnson takes a step backwards and waves Rua back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Johnson is looking to land body kicks.
Rua misses with a hook. Johnson ducked under it nicely.
A little feinted left hand from Johnson on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Johnson drops Rua with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Rua looks back up at him and smiles so Johnson waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Wanderlei Rua's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Wanderlei Rua's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Karim Johnson!
Karim Johnson bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
