Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Callaghan (ranked 2857 p4p, 3394 weight class) and Amida Tsukiyama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Amida Tsukiyama has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrew Callaghan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Amida Tsukiyama! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tsukiyama dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Callaghan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tsukiyama swats him away and circles back towards the center. Callaghan bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Tsukiyama stuck in half guard on the bottom here. Tsukiyama is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Callaghan's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Callaghan content to control rather than advance. Tsukiyama is not content to let Callaghan control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tsukiyama manages to get to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Callaghan wanted to stand there but Tsukiyama had control of the position. Callaghan trying to control the position from guard on top but Tsukiyama is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Callaghan is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Callaghan won't allow Tsukiyama to sweep him here. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Nice straight punches there by Tsukiyama. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Tsukiyama. Tsukiyama throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Callaghan on the side of the head. Tsukiyama dips down and scores with a jab to the body. A slow jab from Callaghan misses its intended target. Tsukiyama fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Tsukiyama uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Callaghan has time to react. A right-left combo lands from Tsukiyama. Callaghan shoots in but Tsukiyama avoids the takedown attempt easily. Tsukiyama rushes Callaghan and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Callaghan is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Tsukiyama piles on the pressure and Callaghan crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Amida Tsukiyama!
