Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Boy Walton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dan Kolov!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Franklyn Lucas and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kolov keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Walton.
John Boy Walton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Walton lands with a hook. Kolov tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Walton swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Walton throws a series of punches but Kolov moves out of range.
Walton feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Kolov sprawling to the canvas! Kolov rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Walton finish him?!
Kolov is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Walton lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Kolov head around and knocks him out cold! Walton hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). John Boy Walton!
During a confident post fight interview, John Boy Walton thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
