Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mauro Okongwu (ranked 526 p4p, 721 weight class) and William Riker (ranked 31 p4p, 88 weight class). Okongwu comes to the cage accompanied by Show Stop - REASON. The crowd seem to be enjoying Riker's choice of entrance music: In The Summertime. William Riker has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 17 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mauro Okongwu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 18 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, William Riker! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Okongwu dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Okongwu lands a right hook to the body.
Riker scores with a body shot.
Okongwu lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Riker at a distance.
Riker throws a sloppy body shot
and Okongwu counters with an outside leg kick.
Okongwu throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Okongwu lands a jab to the nose. Riker throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Riker missing with a left hand there. Okongwu was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Riker takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Okongwu lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
It looks like William Riker has been cut. Riker swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Mauro Okongwu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Riker moves in looking to clinch but Okongwu pushes him off. Riker throws a nice looking combination but Okongwu bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Okongwu swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Riker misses with a jab to the body
and Okongwu counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Riker throws a hook but Okongwu avoids it easily. Okongwu appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Okongwu takes a jab right on the kisser.
It looks like Mauro Okongwu has been cut. Okongwu displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Riker. As Riker backs away, Okongwu returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Okongwu is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Okongwu fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Riker on the side of the head. Okongwu's corner calls for a 1-2. Okongwu obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Okongwu pushes Riker up against the cage in a clinch. Okongwu misses with a hook to the ribs.
Okongwu lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Riker. A shot in the inside from Riker. Riker manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Okongwu sitting in guard, not really doing much. Okongwu stands and steps away. Riker gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Okongwu jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Riker takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Riker fails in his attempt to clinch. A looping hook to the body misses from Riker. Okongwu does a little dance to reset his feet. Okongwu dodges the punch combination from Riker.
Okongwu quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. Okongwu throws out a leg kick but Riker moves out of range and Okongwu only half commits. Riker feints the counter takedown.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Riker shoots and misses and Okongwu counters with a nice body kick. Riker looks winded! Riker takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Okongwu closes the distance and pushes Riker back into the cage. Riker misses with a hook to the ribs.
Okongwu is working Riker over against the cage. Riker jumps guard and drags Okongwu to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Okongwu stands and steps away. Riker gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A jab lands there for Okongwu. A looping hook to the body misses from Okongwu. Riker does a little dance to reset his feet. Riker misses with an uppercut
and Okongwu counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Okongwu lands a leg kick that knocks Riker off balance momentarily. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Mauro Okongwu dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's time! Back to the action! Okongwu lands with a right and another and another! Riker is in big trouble! Okongwu lands again and this time it's lights out for Riker! A quality knockout there for Okongwu.
