This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 8 wins and 4 losses; Fedor Vovchanchyn! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 19 wins and 6 losses; Tendren Hlervu! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Matheus Silva and Felipe Paraventi.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Vovchanchyn stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Vovchanchyn wants it to stay on the feet. Vovchanchyn has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Hlervu gets tackled into the cage by Vovchanchyn. Vovchanchyn maintains the clinch. Vovchanchyn wants to take the fight to the mat but Hlervu manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Vovchanchyn is working for takedown but Hlervu is calmly controlling the position for now. Hlervu goes for a takedown in the clinch but Vovchanchyn prevents it.

Hlervu has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Vovchanchyn is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Hlervu turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Hlervu manages to end up in side control. Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Vovchanchyn (0) vs (4) Hlervu Hlervu tries to move to mount but Vovchanchyn blocks the move with his legs. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vovchanchyn is letting Hlervu control him for a moment.

He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Vovchanchyn tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Hlervu cranks the arm and Vovchanchyn screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Vovchanchyn, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
