The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chowkin closes the distance and clinches.

Arbani pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Arbani takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Arbani fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Chowkin misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Arbani.
Arbani feinted with a counter takedown.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Chowkin enables Arbani to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Chowkin manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Arbani prevents Chowkin from getting back to his feet.
Arbani might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Chowkin has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Arbani off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Arbani shoots in and bounces Chowkin off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Arbani controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Arbani passes Chowkin's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Arbani is trying for a kimura here. Chowkin looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Arbani wins by kimura!
